LOL. I got the following email... looks like everyone on the committee got it.

I hope you don't mind me contacting you. I wanted to let you know about a new TV show as it may be perfect for some of your talented and interesting friends and members of the Goth and Rock Society.
It is a fantastic new dating show called 'Take Me Out' that will air primetime on ITV1, Saturday nights in January 2010. It is being hosted by comedian Paddy McGuinness.
We are casting guys for the show right now!
The guys we cast need to be confident and lively as they'll be 'selling themselves' to 30 single girls, each stood behind a podium. The guy's job will be to persuade the girls to keep the lights on their podiums switched on. If the girl dislikes what she sees she can switch her light off at any time. Eventually the tables will be turned and the guy chooses which girl (from those with their lights left on) who to take out on a date.
Each of the single guys on the show will be trying to impress the single girls, and one of the rounds will be a 'show and tell', in which they demonstrate a skill or job they do. It would be fantastic if we did have a talented artist on the series, who could potentially do the 'show and tell' round, throwing all their moves and tricks, whatever they may be! It would be a unique way of showing what they've got, so it would be a great show to be part of.
All the guys have to be is single, and over 18 years old!
We are filming the series in Manchester between November and December. Because we are casting a large number of guys for the whole series, we do not pay a fee, but obviously travel and accommodation are all sorted for those people who do make it onto the show.
We ask all the guys who are interested in taking part to complete an application form and send it back to us, and then we will be able to take it from there.
I've attached a boys application form for you to send on to your friends and members - if they fancy this, they should fill in the form as soon as possible and email it to us on takemeout@talkbackthames.tv
