November sees us teaming up with Jack Daniels to offer a Battle of the Bands with an awesome prize for the winner. Freshers' Week is fast approaching, and we have many exciting events lined up. We're also in need of willing hands to help us with flyering and running the stall during the Societies Fair. If you want to help out, get in touch via email or on our forum!

The week's plan:
+ Monday & Tuesday: Flyering, followed by drinks & food in the Auld Hoose. 10am-4pm.
+ Wednesday & Thursday: Societies Fair & flyering, again followed by food & drinks in the Hoose. 10am-4pm again.
+ Friday: Come to the Auld Hoose at 12 for chilli followed by bowling at 2pm. There are only 20 spaces, so register interest on the forum. Gathering again in the Hoose at 7pm ready for the Freshers' Party at 9pm in Teviot Underground. See event page for more info.
+ Saturday: Meet at 7 at the Auld Hoose, for food and a trip to Retribution at Studio24.
+ Sunday: Alternative Music Quiz at 7pm in the Pentland Room of Pleasance - with free booze!

Keep an eye on the calendar and news as we confirm times and meeting places.

website New website!

The new EdG&R website's finally up and running! As well as the new design, it features a news system and an events calendar, so you can keep up with what's going on more easily. There's also a nice new image gallery (based on our Flickr group), and of course all the information you need to know about the society. Between being on new hosts and the fact that all the committee members can update the site, you can expect much more regular updates and better reliability.

It's not over yet though... next I plan on moving the forums and integrating them with the new site, and probably adding new features as time goes by.

The new address of the site is edgarsoc.com, but it'll still be accessible through the old one (I'll set up a redirect soon).

Enjoy!
